Who We Are
Thursday Connection is a non-profit Christian cooperative offering enrichment and academic classes. We believe in the ability of parents as educators of their children, and our ministry is to families as they pursue the education and the development of their children with whom they have been entrusted. Our vision for our cooperative is to walk alongside homeschooling families as they pursue excellence and to assist parents in building bridges to academic success, not to replace the parents as directors of their children’s education.
While we seek to follow Christ as we operate our co-op, families at Thursday Connection are not required to sign a statement of faith. We extend our welcome to non-Christian families who are willing to follow our guidelines. We are a cooperative that believes strongly in mutual respect, family involvement, and communication.
Thursday Connection is volunteer board-led, and day to day operations are managed by paid administrative staff. Co-op policy is made by the board, while routine administrative decisions are made by the relevant staff members. If any problems arise, they are handled by the aministratios in coordination with the board until a healthy resolution is achieved.
All work at TC is done by volunteers or part time workers. There are no full time TC employees. For this reason, each family is required to work 16 hours per semester (see the Family Work Hours tab). Each family is also assigned a Family Liaison. Your Liaison is your primary contact for any questions not answered in the weekly email or website.
